About The Role

EKC Group are looking to appoint Sports and Enrichment Coach, based at our Folkestone College site. This key role creates a wide variety of enrichment opportunities for our students but also engaging with curriculum areas to provide team building activities and to develop collaborative learning environments.  Our primary objective at Folkestone College is to ensure every student can reach their full potential, at whatever stage of their learning. We know that students who participate in sport and enrichment activities will increase their life choices, their resilience and their ability to adapt regardless of their chosen career path.

The main aspect of the role is to link the College with local community sporting opportunities, to widen the sporting offer for students, raise participation in sport and encourage sustained involvement of young people in sport.  You will report to the College Services Manager and work alongside the Enrichment and Student Promotions Officer to develop and organise numerous activities that encourage students to discuss ethical issues with confidence and engage in debates about respecting diversity, the environment, democracy, freedom of speech and LGBTQ+ celebrations.

This is a diverse and rewarding role and every day will be different, supporting ESOL students one day, our Junior College the next and tailoring sport and enrichment opportunities to students’ interests.

Working at EKC Group is extremely rewarding with excellent benefits, such as, competitive holiday entitlement, access to a range of discounts on many high street stores and a generous pension scheme.
