What we’re looking for?

  • Teaching qualification – Ideally QTS/QTLS but we’re interested in other routes.
  • One years teaching experience minimum.
  • Enthusiasm in inspiring learners 16-19 years old.
  • A candidate with a genuine interest in computing, and all things technology.
  • An understanding of creating and delivering a bespoke programme.

What will you be doing?

You’ll be teaching, inspiring, and facilitating student achievement, with aims to support the development of the curriculum area and create a modern, inclusive, and engaging centre of excellence. 

You’ll be based in the Dover Technical College, specifically in the Computing Department, which has current and up-to-date facilities and access to excellent technology including VR.

About You

The ideal candidate will be highly organised, creative and be able to plan and teach engaging and innovative lessons with interpersonal skills. Assessing and tracking student progress and facilitating inclusive learning and teaching will be central parts of the role. We pride ourselves on high standards of student engagement and achievement and are looking for an enthusiastic, positive, and proactive individual to lead our provision into its next phase. 

You’ll be passionate about making a difference to the future careers of our students, providing academic leadership and guidance. You’ll manage the curriculum delivery and accreditation, ensuring all students develop the skills they need to succeed. Teaching and vocational experience is essential and strong leadership skills are desirable. The knowledge of current trends in technology, as well as familiarity with major operating systems are beneficial for this role. A specialism in networking and cybersecurity would be welcome, but all other specialist areas are considered too. 

This is the ideal opportunity for a proven teacher or lecturer to progress their career to the next stage, as you will oversee the curriculum provision, building relationships with key stakeholders as well as delivering high quality teaching, learning and assessment.
