About The Role

EKC Group are seeking a Work Experience Officer (internally known as Industry Liaison Officer) to join the Group. As an Industry Liaison Officer (ILO) at EKC Group you would be responsible for securing and monitoring progress of work experience placements in varied vocational areas for students and to act as the main point of contact for employer relations for these areas. This can include supporting the planning and implementation of employer events for organising employer visits for students.

Your role responsibilities would also include ensuring employers return the required documentation in a timely fashion following college guidelines and national expectations as well as working with students on a one to one and small group basis to identify their employability skills gaps and supporting them to develop them to be able to complete a successful industry placement.

Payment for 40 weeks pro rata, £1,122 will be paid equally in your twelve monthly salary payments in addition to the advertised salary.

About You

We are seeking to appoint an Industry Liaison Officer who has excellent interpersonal skills and who possesses excellent communication skills both verbal and written. The successful candidate will be highly organised and be able to prioritise work whilst applying a flexible and responsive approach to work demands.

 
The successful candidate will be required to travel around Kent to meet with employers, arrange visits to industry and visits to college from industry leaders as well as working on the employability profile of all learners within the area so that they are properly prepared for work experience. Previous experience in the engineering and motor vehicle industry experience would be an advantage.
 

The ideal candidate will have an inquisitive and analytical approach to work. You will be able to display an attention to detail, be able to work independently working on your own initiative and as part of a team. A level 3 qualification in a relevant subject is desirable, alternatively experience of working in a relevant sector and a willingness to obtain a relevant level 3 qualification will be considered.
