About The Role

EKC Group are seeking two Project Directors to join the Group to lead on the delivery part of the EKC Groups Community Renewal Fund project,  focused on benefits to our local communities. The Project Director will be part of the Leadership Team of the newly established EKC Adult College that focuses on the delivery of Adult Education and innovative opportunities for the communities within East Kent

The role will involve ensuring that robust project management systems are embedded at each stage in our approach to delivering these programmes. Developing and managing external partner supply chains and ensuring that all projects are contractually compliant, meeting required standards and legislation.  Managing budgets and funding plans to ensure the projects are financially viable and can deliver on the project targets, expected standards and timeline. The Project Director will ensure an effective, complaint project tendering and bidding process in line with EKC Groups policies and procedures. Providing accurate reporting on project bids, spend and progress to our strategic board.

These roles are fixed term until 31/03/2022 and are linked to and subject to the EKC Group successfully securing a Community Renewal fund Bid. 

About You

The successful candidate will have previous experience operating at a strategic level delivering complex, group wide projects including partner supply chains and an effective and compliant tendering/bidding process.  The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to develop and implement short- and long-term operational projects and plans to the expected standards and budget. They will be able to analyse complex problems, interpret operational needs and develop integrated creative solutions.     

The post holder will be able to demonstrate experience of managing a diverse team of technical, professional and support staff. Have strong interpersonal skills and communication skills and be able to work effectively with, and influence, a wide range of stakeholders internally and externally in a diverse community.
