About The Role

EKC Group have an exciting opportunity at our Nursery in Folkestone for an Assistant Deputy Manager to join our successful growing business. This post will be part of an expanding team to deliver outstanding experiences to our children aged 0-4 years of age. You will be responsible for overseeing provision for children aged 3 and over on a daily basis as well as covering managerial duties in the absence of the Deputy and Senior Nursery Manager. 

We believe that open ended learning in the moment is the best way for children to learn and encourage children to express themselves creatively through play and having fun. Our practitioners are expected to nurture and promote curiosity and exploration as children grow and learn supporting them by providing challenging and exciting new opportunities. As Assistant Deputy Manager you will be responsible for leading practice to the highest possible standards and ensuring staff follow our open ended ethos.

About You

We are seeking to appoint a knowledgeable, confident and well organised individual to join our team at The Nursery. The Successful candidate will be able to demonstrate their ability to communicate effectively at all levels and to engage with children, parents and families. The candidate will also need to be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of child development, needs and knowledge of relevant health and safety and a proven ability to act upon this to ensure the environment is always safe.

The Ideal candidate will understand the requirements of the EYFS and the importance of Safeguarding when working with young vulnerable children.

The Candidate will be able to demonstrate experience of running a room and the ability to manage staff to effectively promote children's development in all areas of the EYFS. (Preferred - EYTS/EYPS)

Essential - Level 3 Early Years Qualification.

Previous experience in a similar role would be beneficial
